Linen Fabric, common household weight |
| 100% linen, unbleached, 1/2 bleached, ecru or creamy white |
| 60 inches wide |
| We offer this mid-weight linen in four neutral shades, from completely unbleached—the grey brown color of flax, to a bright creamy white. Textiles like this were widely used during the 18th and 19th centuries for household linens, clothing, curtains, embroidery ground, etc.
As in the period, they are somewhat stiff when new. Alternating use with washing and pressing will soften the linen fiber while tightening the weave, resulting in a sturdy fabric that can be relied on for everyday use. |
