| These vividly colored one inch checks are typical of those fashionable for bed hangings and window curtains during the fourth quarter of the 18th century. They remained popular in rural areas for many years afterward. The fabric’s cotton warp & linen weft result in a texture firm enough to be durable and yet also drape well. Available in either cherry red or prussian blue, the color is bright, but not out of period character. We have used this fabric for years and can report that it ages nicely and wears well. |
